Bank Hall Daffs

What should my lads have at least got their mother on Mothers Day, flowers. But no instead they decided to save their brass and take her out to Bank Hall Bretherton to view the show of daffodils and for them it was free to get in. It is more famous for its show of snowdrops and lesser known for the daffs. It is mix of cultivated and wild daffs although I suspect a lot of wild ones will have hybridized over time. The homemade cakes and teas tent was pitched. A pleasant break was had sharing each others cake to determine whose was the best. My coconut sponge was certainly the jamiest.
