Flower III
Still enjoying my flower phase.
I'd better find a pansy to photograph, becuase I think I'm turning into one!
The weather here has been diabolical. In fact, the meteorologists described it as a "Weather Bomb".
Earlier this week I got some great news. A year after my knee reconstruction (I had severed the anterior cruciate ligament - ACL - and it was replaced by slicing 1/3 of the patella tendon off and screwing it in place). At the same time they took out almost all my cartilage, so no cushioning - bone on bone. I understood that meant little or no running because of the bone on bone situation causing problems later in life. I had a follow up session with my surgeon this week and he said I would almost certainly have arthritis later in life anyway. That's not the good news, but I already knew that. The good news is he told me theres no evidence to suggest NOT running will make it any better. "Go for it" were his words. So today I celebrated by gonig for a run. In the weather bomb. I was smiling from ear to ear! I don't think I've ever been so wet.
