A Special Day

The cherry trees of the Quad at UW are still in full bloom, having survived lashing wind and steady rain this last week - and gathered beneath today were many people of Japanese descent. I took photos of people taking photos, of kids playing, of folks gawking.

But this lovely sylph like bride, bent as though she is honoring her groom is my favorite. She is actually having her veil pinned more securely by a friend, but the sway of her thin body in that silky swoosh of fabric playing off the light blossoms - well she won my heart today.
