From the days that used to be ....

There was a time you could get these metal strips punched at Railway Stations or in Penny Arcades. You only see the machines in Museums now.

This was probably created at Hull Railway Station. I came across it whilst looking for something else.

I knew I had it but I thought it said "Give everyone a pot to piss in ..." from J. P. Donleavy's Ginger Man - the quote goes on "... so they won't have to use mine".

But it doesn't say that.

Without consulting Google, do you know where the quote comes from?
