Feathers!

So after a sensible and fairly tame Friday night, we were looking lively at a reasonable hour and after a spot-hitting fry up, we were off out for the day. First stop was the Old Town, (and to save time we took the car - what with free parking on a Saturday and limited time) and i debated whether or not to leave my coat in it as I parked up - Not something I've done for a lonnnnng time. In the car it stayed, and it was a good call, for the weather was be-aut-i-ful. Proper feel-good stuff and just the tonic after a few yucky weeks of being lethargic and feeling euugh. I could have skipped down the cobbled streets it was that nice! The sight of tables and chairs outdoors, with people sitting at and on them, was the cherry on the cake and so a celebratory beer was called for on the Old Town Square. Laura and Lucy were super-impressed too. The former visited a year ago last October, so it was a completely different story for her! We happened upon a flash-mob style pillow fight at Plac Zamkowy, which was quite a spectacle, not to mention a blip-opportunity!

The girls live and work in Belgrade and so were like kids in a sweet shop at seeing H&M and the M&S food-hall. I think Luce cleared them out of naan breads and with a heavy basket each of goodies, we trundled back to the car, for an hour or so on the sofa, before a night out on the town.
