I spent most of today phoning back and forth with a travel agent, desperately trying to reclaim the costs of my cancelled holiday.

After about 4 and a half hours of phone time, I finally was told that the best they can give me is a refund of the taxes. This despite the fact that BOTH airlines are offering full refunds of all cancelled tickets to Japan. Apparently because I chose to include a middle man, I don't get that benefit.

Whatever. £560 lost for a holiday I was MADE to cancel. Fuck that.

I will never use travelocity or lastminute or any other of their umbrella companies again.
