Room 101

"You asked me once, what was in Room 101. I told you that you knew the answer already. Everyone knows it. The thing that is in Room 101 is the worst thing in the world."

Firstly, many, many thanks to everyone who stopped by my 300th blip yesterday. I needed a strong cup of coffee this morning to help me get over the shock of seeing it in the number 1 slot on the spotlight page!

So to today's blip....

Even after 6 years of working here, it still amuses me that we have a Room 101. If it was just a random office that was numbered that way, it wouldn't be the same, but I love the old raised numbering and the dark wood of the door. It's a photocopier/store room now but when I started it, really was a Room 101 with all kinds of random crap equipment stored in it.

I wish we could have real Room 101s in which we could stick stuff. What would I stick in mine?

- Chavs and the whole "why should I bother to work when I can get it all on benefits" brigade.
- Reality TV and the culture of "celebrity" in general
- Kate Humble
- People who try (and fail) to walk and text at the same time
- Parsnips
- People who use the word "contemporary" out of context
- People who say "quite unique" No! It's either unique or it isn't! Stop it!
- The Daily Mail
- Peanut butter

Oh and for what it's worth, I've filled in that annoying gap that I'd left on Monday.
