Spring run off

Well, the water has now reached us. The ditches are filling up and the fields are turning into lakes. This picture was taken of our field 1 mile east of our house. We went for a bike ride this evening and felt like we were riding on a lakeshore road, with lake on either side of us. Our yard is in the distance on this picture. Very pretty view at sunset with the water reflecting the sun. We are fortunate not to have to worry about our yard filling up with water and don't forsee this will happen. A neighbor about 5 miles away had sandbaggers in today. Nic and his classmates were sandbagging during school hours today, helping out the municipality. We'll see where the water goes...
