Got invited to go to the 18th birthday party of a wonderful girl/ woman who was in my form for 5 years. I loved being her form tutor. She was and still is one of the most grounded, confident and intelligent people I have ever had the good fortune to meet. She also has the rare ability to recognize social groups and standing yet she has never allowed herself to be catergorized in any way shape or form. She didnt have the best life outside of school and we spent many hours talking about this but she always tried to see the situation from a step back and not allow herself to be dragged down by situation.
She looked stunning, held her own during the speech and made sure all the guests were happy. Lindsay is just fab and I truly expect her to run the country some time in the not too distant future.

It is because of her incredible strength of character and her ability to triumph in the face of adversity that I really have to apologize for getting rip roaring drunk, following you and your 17 year old mates up town, dancing to "Footloose" like a proper teacher and finally for telling the bloke you were snogging that I would punch him in the face if he ever dared to look at you again.

I should also apologize to Lee as when I went out at 7.30 I said I was going for one drink then I would be home. Turns out I didnt get in until 3am, still humming "footloose'
