Edinburgh Sunset April 6th 2011
My god, the wind... it was unbelievable up on Calton Hill tonight. I had specifically wanted a long exposure streaky cloud shot of the Castle on it's own but with the Sigma 70-200mm on the camera it just caught the wind and all I got was blur. This was a 3 shot HDR while there was still some colour in the sky but it took a few goes to get this even with a much higher shutter speed.
I did eventually brave the wind with the Sigma 10-20mm and got off a few 90s exposures after the sun went down, the best of which you can see here if you're interested. Decided though to blip some colour for a change!
Wind is great for the streaky clouds, not so good for the photographer!
