Crossing the Mississippi River

On the first day of our trip we drove to Missouri, crossing the Mississippi late in the afternoon. It was then that I began to see some trees coming into leaf and fruit blossoms brightening up the countryside. That was an exciting moment after our cold, grey and snowy winter.

For those who haven't seen it before, the picture is the Arch by the Mississippi River. I have never ridden to the top of it, and don't plan to, but it is an awesome sight.
