Little sister with mandolin

Went to see my sister in the south last weekend. She is recovering from a serious illness and has decided to 'celebrate' by learning to play an instrument. It is funny how our choice of instrument fits our personality. The mandolin is perfect for my quiet, dignified and rather sensitive sister. My lovely daughter suits her harp, my son plays a trumpet (like his father!!) me - oh well tin whistle and ukelele - I know, I know!
