A Giant Leap
This afternoon was one of the most fun sessions I have ever taught, as I took a group of students from Matravers up to the Westbury White Horse for a photography workshop. They all had their own compact cameras that they were using first, and once they had become a bit more confident and had been thinking about composition I decided it was time for them to use a DSLR.
They took some amazing portraits of each other, landscapes, and best of all, some incredible shots of the paragliders. There were loads of them up in the sky over the horse today and it was perfect weather for them to fly and us to shoot!
Just before we headed back one of the students wanted to do some trickery with the famous chimney in the town (that comes from the now closed cement works). So we did a few shots of him pretending to lean on the chimney.... and I took this one of him making a giant leap over the chimney! I thought it was blipworthy, and lets face it, you don't want to see another one of the white horse from me!
A great fun afternoon and gorgeous weather. The only hard part will be choosing a select few shots from all the ones they took!
