Sizergh Castle

I picked Richard up at 7am and we headed to the South Lakes. Our first stop was Sizergh Castle...we were looking for Haw Finches. However, we dipped on this occasion. I thought you might like to see part of the formal gardens.

Then it was on to Leighton Moss for a couple of hours birding. Lots to see! Little Egret, Gadwalls, Avocets, Redshank, Marsh Harriers...

Then we saw a swallow...does that mean it's summer?

Then on to Silverdale for our golf match. The sun shone brightly! There were about 30 of us. The golf was good, and so was the meal afterwards!

Got home about 7pm...a long day!

Quick shower...check the blips, and now off to a quiz!

I'll have to catch up with comments tomorrow!
