More Desert Blooms

All of a sudden, it seems, we are surrounded by trees with the most beautiful, soft yellow blooms. This picture doesn't do the color justice but it's the best I could do. I'm learning so much because of blipping. I googled this tree and I believe it's a Palo verde tree. It does well in the desert because it requires very little water. Palo verde means "green stick" and the tree is named this because the bark on these trees is green. Today the wind is blowing hard so it was a challenge to get a good shot of the moving branches.
