Knapweed

I don't know the latin word is but this is what I've been told is the common name. This plant grows much taller in Colorado and North Dakota. It's an evasive species not liked by many because its prickley and has tons of seed that spread. Bee, bumble bees and other insects love it because of pollen and nectar.
