SPOONBILL

The spoonbills have returned to the Estuary to winter over. There are about 21 of them on the islands in McCormacks Bay. When they arrived, it was soon after the 22 Feb EQ - they - didnt know about the munted Estuary and I noted they didnt feed for some time - but I'm pleased to say they are starting to feed again and they are looking much better and healthier than when they first arrived. A good sign I think for an improvement in the estuary.
