Dear Grandparents..

My parents brought me some very, very old slides they wanted to get rid of.
It shows my grandparents, my dads parents. Unfortunately they are dead for a long time now, but I still remember some of the things..
They lived in Eastern Europe, they were incredibly poor and had to overcome lots of difficulties in bringing up their 6! sons through times of war and famine..
Such a background shapes your life forever.
Im very proud of my parents...especially my dad, who despite of a very rough start in life and a very severe illness became a doctor who could, apart from his own little family also finance his parents, his brothers and at some point my mums parents as well.
Its only now that I understand the extent of this very, very strong bond that is in our family.
Family can be a burden, but a blessing also.
