Appreciative Swans
These recycled tyre swans were produced by former pupils from the school I work at. They were made as a sign of appreciation of the 22 years of hard work and dedication of the headteacher, who retired today. We had a final assembly for PT who was literally left speechless (unheard of!) by the testimonials from staff, and pupils past and present.
As the lads who made the swans described PT - authoritative but calming, inspiring yet sensible and ultimately honest and kind. A good boss and great leader who has made our school one of the best in our area. He will be missed.
The swans represent the school logo as we are sited with a river running alongside the grounds.
Anyway, school hols start today! So no more work for 17 days.
