I'm often told I am quite fashioned for the way I do things. One thing I insist on is that if I can't afford it, I don't buy it. The only time I had a credit card I'd gotten it for the protection it offered for a large buy but still had the cash available first. I've taught my kids that buying on credit is a false economy - save and know that item is *yours*!

The twins have prom this year and we're trying to do it on a limited budget. I've been saving what little I can towards it and have a pot that grows slightly each week. I like to see my savings!
