Ouch!
A bit of excitement this afternoon in our neck of the woods. A log truck driver moved over to let a car by and his trailer wheels got off the road (there is no shoulder on this road) and that just sucked him into the ditch and he flipped on his side. No serious injury to the driver, a couple of scratches and he's a bit sore (probably more sore tomorrow). The truck driver that was following him had to break out his door window so he could get out. This happened about 100 yds. up the road from our driveway. My hubby was home early, washing his very dirty pickup when he heard a voice behind him saying "I need your help". He knows the truck driver and he went to help him and so we spent a couple hours there, taking pictures, flagging traffic (not much), and in general just visiting with neighbors and passersby enjoying a sunny day in the country.
The truck I believe is totalled. That's what they all were saying and looked like it to me.
In this picture are the truck boss (owner of the trucking company), the driver in green vest and another trucker that has a self-loader truck so he could put the spilled logs onto yet another truck to haul away.
