The start of something exciting..... or not ?

Well as i said yesterday the midwife sent us for a scan to check the size of baby as my bump is measuring smaller than it should be. Appointment is at 10.30. Walking into the maternity unit brought back so many memories of having Harvey i was pointing out to Lee where we went and what we did etc (as he wasn't their for Harvey's birth)

Appointment was late as per usuall. I brought my hospital bags with me and eft them in the car just in case. I had my blood pressure done and urine sample then was called back in to see the consultant. She explained that if baby is smal then they would think about inducing me. You should have seen Lee's face.... he was as i was shocked at this news as we just thought we were coming for a scan. Then she examined me and told me i was 1cm dialated. I was very excited about this and thought Woohoo.... baby will be here any time. She said she didnt think i would go to my due date (two weeks today) However not sure i should have got too excited as i text my freind and she replied 'i was 2cm for a whole week before anything happened' i was then very dissapointed. So we went in for the scan and the sonographer measured the baby's head circumfrence and tummy. She said that for my dates the baby's size is average and probably weighs 6lb 12oz. I am just carrying small.

So thank god for that otherwise they would have whipped me off to labour suite and started me off. Lee hadnt brought a change of clothes with him and had all his work gear on Shirt and tie job.

After the exam tho i was left feeling in pain and had mild B/H all the way home. I was really excited as i thought this might be it and am in labour but sadly nothing has happened yet. Where are you baby !!!!! come out to meet us.
