Best campsite in the Lakes?

I think not! Choosing to camp at the summit of the Lords Seat last night (see yesterday's back blip) was probably not a great idea. The wind picked up and we didn't sleep all night. We contemplated walking home in the middle of the night but I was determined to stick it out until sunrise. We nearly missed it as our tiredness was just starting to get the better of us, but we jumped out of the tent with cameras ready just in time to capture this. What looks like a cross on the summit of the Lords Seat is actually part of an old iron fence.

I'm so tired now I'm off to bed with a bad back and shoulder after heaving all the kit. Normal service and comments will resume tomorrow after a good sleep.
