Mill Pond Goose

This is one of the village characters that I haven't got around to featuring until now.

Tucked away behind Baildon Mills, now used by a range of small businesses, is a mill pond that is home to a couple of guard geese and a few Mallard. Although it is hidden behind high walls, and draped in barb wire, the little ones still like to visit on their way back from the village. Often a newly purchased baguette won't quite make it home in one piece.

I almost got a more exciting wildlife shot later on, but a nice alignment of Lapwing and rabbit at the edge of the moor was a little too far away for a sharp image.
