Bridge in bloom

This display represents the Gateshead half of the Tyne
bridge and won the silver medal at last year's Chelsea
flower show. The flowers depict runners crossing the
bridge during the great north run, the exhibit was
designed by Alan Smith OBE and is being installed in
Saltwell park and will be on display for a few weeks.
