City street...

A beautiful day. One of the regular events in the city is when traffic all comes to a standstill at the approach of an emergency vehicle. After I had been for my walk and was returning one hour later - bizarrely - this spot had become the scene for a serious crash with three very badly damaged cars.

I thought a quiet walk on Portobello Promenade would suit the day. I parked, walked down to the front, turned left - and there were 25,000 runners heading straight at me!

But the walk was still quite scenic - if a little taken over by the Big Race. Can you see Cockenzie Power Station?
