Reflections

I grabbed a quiet half hour in the garden today with my book. It is an amazing book about a woman named Henrietta Lacks who died of cancer and cells taken from her body without her consent. The book runs Henriettas story alongside the story of the development of medicine that her cells started. Her cells are legendary in medicine but her story was not widely known, and she is buried in an unmarked grave.


As an aside about this blip - I wish I dusted my patio table which is where the picture was taken - and for those who arent sure, I have inverted the picture so the reflection is actually at the top.
