Days Gone By
This is another one of those buildings I've driven past for almost thirty years and have never had a close look at, until today. It's a former gate lodge for whatever large house was on the site of what is now The Royal Belfast Golf Club (thanks, Google Earth!), and the ornate detailing gives a good indication of the level of importance and wealth of the original house. It's behind a locked gate and some walls I wasn't climbing over in my suit, but you can tell it is a fairly substantial building in itself.
While the house is interesting, my picture wasn't, so I've been messing around a little in Lightroom 3. Forgive my attempt, but I'm still trying to figure it out. :)
