I'm trying to figure out why the contractors cut down this 90+ year old Picea abies (Norway Spruce). There is construction going on, but it's at least 25 meters away from the construction road and 40m away from the building itself; this tree was nowhere near in the way. They actually cut down two of these massive trees, making the front hill look much more bare.

It's a shame, really.
