snowdrops
Our friends H&G cooked us a fab Sunday Roast for lunch which we walked off around Nant Mill.
H isn't outofthewoods yet as she has another op looming, but she's determined to build her strength up so she can ultimately recover quickly again and enjoy what will be left of the summer.
Along our walk we stumbled across a small patch of snowdrops, the first wild ones I've seen growing this year. I always marvel at them: not only are they one of my favourite flowers but I'm always amazed at how they spring up after the worst weather has hit.
(There's a metaphore in there somewhere, methinks)
