First Impressions

It's changed since I first looked down these stairs. All those years ago on a sunny August afternoon I sat at the top and surveyed my new compact but bejou kingdom ... thinking ... what have I done? Then in my squeakiest voice ... It's mine (well after 25 yrs) ... Yes I had just joined millions of other first time buyers. Full of excitement and plans (and worries if I'm really honest).

Over the years I've walked, ran and broken my toes on them. The bare walls were given pictures and yet the light remained contant, illuminating light through the door. The stairs I first walked as a stranger.

That sunny afternoon I knew, I was a stranger no more ... I was home.
