Angostura Diversion Dam in UV only

A false color photo of the Angostura Diversion Dam in Algodones (north of Albuquerque). This is where most of the water is channeled into the Acequia Madres (main irrigation ditches, literally mother ditch) in Albuquerque and Bernalillo. It is also a time exposure of around 1 second. I want to go back soon and try a longer exposure. The dog and I had a good time, but he scares me half to death the way he likes to go right to the edge of the river embankment (or cliffs in different places) and peer over the edge.
I give thanks for JoeDog, faithful hiking companion and for George the kitten found a year ago today which is noted in the year ago today blip. George has grown into the most amazing, charming and beautiful kitten.
