Duties

It's Monday, it's cock-a-doodle doo time and I'm off once more to do my grandmotherly act in Shipley, West Yorkshire.

I'm taking the scenic route down from Carlisle through the North Yorkshire Dales by Appleby and Settle. It's a slower route than going cross country to Leeds, but it is beautiful wild country and if the weather holds, it will be good to just sit, and relax with the panorama spread in front of me before my child care begins in earnest.

Daughter #5 has four days menus mapped out for me in a bid to reduce some of my flab. It gets serious when daughter#1 and granddaughter fall about laughing at the sight of my posterior on the saddle of my bike.
Maybe better not pack the Tunnocks Caramel Wafers then.

I have a fridge magnet which reads 'God couldn't be everywhere, so he made Grandmas"
