Seed Pods

Having pruned the trees in the garden I went on to the lawn this morning and it was covered in seed pods from one of the trees. I decided that I should fill a small bowl with them to help decorate a table in the living room. I've no idea what the tree is - somebody may be able to identify it from the seeds pods.
