Summer's here!
What a busy weekend. After the late night last night, it was an early morning today to get up and packed for a weekend trip away to Troon. K's school friend was getting married and she was taking me along as her plus one to the evening reception.
I remember the first time I went to visit her in Troon. She'd invited us for a Barbecue. I'd only been in Edinburgh a couple of years and knew nothing about Scottish geography so I assumed it couldn't be that far away. It was only when she mentioned the sea and I realised we were heading AWAY from the sea, how far we were going.
After a trek across the country we arrived in Troon in the glorious sunshine and realised we had way too much time to get ready. Even after a lie in the sunshine and doing some chores, we were still ready an hour early so instead of putting on our pretty dresses, we sat in the early evening sunshine with a lovely glass of wine.
The reception (and the day time ceremony) was held at a beautiful location with a loch and beautiful scenery. The reception was nice, the bride looked beautiful but best of all, the evening buffet was bacon and sausage sarnies! This shot was of the lovely table centrepieces.
