Dala

We are off in a bit to take Dad to have his surgery. It is an out-patient procedure and we should be back this evening, but who knows. I was going to bring my laptop but did not feel like lugging it around the hospital. In fact, I brought that old fashioned form of entertainment known as a book. There are two actual paper and ink books, some would call them dead tree editions, in my bag along with water and a snack.

This little Dala Horse came from the dresser in the guest room at my dad?s. The room has a decidedly Swedish theme to honor my mom?s heritage. She decorated it from her mother?s belongings and treasures collected from the travels of others. It is a happy room.
