Meet the Morgans

roaming free

This morning I couldn't decide whether or not to make a Doctor's appointment for Amelie. She still has a raspy chest and a cough and thats been around for about 3 weeks now, but in my mind was the doctor who we saw last time who made me feel as though I shouldn't have brought her and that long drawn out colds/coughs were perfectly normal for babies her age. Anyway I decided to take her and the lovely doctor we saw said she was definitely chesty and he prescribed some antibiotics. If it doesn't clear up in a week then we have to take her back and he will try an inhaler. He suspects that she might benefit from the ashma medication to open up her airways a bit. He also said that he wouldn't use the word 'asthma' to describe it because she'll grow out of it if thats the case. So I'm hoping that the antibiotics will clear it up and she'll be back to her normal self. My brother had bad ashma when he was younger and I had it mildly and there is a history of it on Chris' side of the family so it wouldn't surprise me if she did have a bit of a weakness in her lungs.

After we picked up the prescription we went shopping for a few food essentials as our cupboards are bare and then we headed back home so that Amelie could have a nap. Louise and Rose came round and once Amelie was up we all had lunch and then headed out to the park so the girls could do a bit of outside walking. As soon as we got there though they were both pretty tired and not that interesting in roaming free. Amelie was trying to eat bark and rotten conkers and Rose fell down a little ditch. And then the clouds rolled in!

Amelie has just had dinner and I am about to run her a bath. I think she'll be quite quick down to sleep tonight as she seems pretty tired again. I think its probably my imagination but after 2 lots of antibiotics she seems far less whingy...
