The house sparrows actually number many more then the greenfinches, but the latter are larger & more menacing - I would not want to feed alongside one of these big bullies! You certainly should have your wits about you! It's in fact the bullfinches which are the biggest bullies, hence the first part of their name maybe! ;-)
