Sheep and lambs
Today's the day ...................... for sheep shenanigans
Had great fun today watching the new lambs playing about in the sunshine. Is it a new thing for them all to be numbered - or is it just that I've never noticed it before? Or perhaps it's just a Cumbrian thing?! There were all sorts of dramas being played out too.
The sheep above is mother to twins No 71 - gorgeous, soft, white and quite small lambs. Lamb No 78 is a bit older and definitely fieldwise - mother not all that interested and left to fend for himself. He had a go at trying to nuzzle in for a quick snack from Mother 71, who told him pretty sharpish to sling his hook.
Lamb 71 (who let's face it, is just a bit too good to be true) shouts after him, "I told you not to try. I said you'd never get away with it ....."
Well - that's my version, anyway ...........................!
