Nino's puppies

Nino came up in his little electric car and his fedora just before bedtime. Beside him, in a large saucepan on the front seat, were two of his puppies. On a specially-built shelf, just behind his head, was Torkie, his little dog, the father of the babies.
He stayed and drank a couple of Pastis. Bedtime was delayed until the pastis was drunk and the puppies were put back into the pan and, amid loud protests, taken back to their mother.
