Hope hangs in the branches
Am I able to admit to having a lovely day at work? Today I drove my horse 200 miles to his retiral home, a croft in the Black Isle. What a beautiful part of Scotland, he is going to be such a relaxed and happy Clydesdale.
On route back we stubbled upon this strange place, the "Clootie Well".
Wells with magical powers like this were once common in Britain. At some of them you leave clothes or rags, others coins. They seem to have a link with pre christian beliefs and perhaps with the power of water in Celtic tradition.
I returned home with only one sock and 50p lighter in the hope that my mother in law's health in Spain improves............ :-)
