Bison
Well, this is definitely not the best image of the day...but worthy of a post.
Last week I took a business trip to Huntington, Indiana. Its about a 4.5 hour drive from home. I love my travel days because I always plan a few hours to scout the area looking for interesting things. I've never been to Huntington. Its basically a small rural "city". Not large enough to be considered a city in my book but it did have a downtown area that was interesting.
The buildings were turn of the century style and at some point in the past had been painted in bright and lively colors. The colors have since faded and the paint was pealing on most. Half of the businesses were closed and boarded up due to the economy. Those that are left are most likely struggling. There were very few cars parked along the street making it easy to capture some great shots.
After my walk around downtown I decided to drive out to see the more rural areas. I didnt have to go very far to find farmland. I found these Bison just outside of town. Honestly, I've never seen a bison. We dont have them in Chicago area. So when I saw them I thought they were a funny looking cross between a bull and a buffalo...both of which I have seen in person.
I had to get a few shots just for fun!
