Boy
I went to bed last night convinced there would be another big earthquake during the night, so I didn't really sleep properly. When I woke up this morning I had just enough time to think, "well, I'm glad my prediction didn't come true" before the house started to shake and rattle. Not the best way to start the day, I must say. There has been a few more pretty big ones throughout the day as well. Sigh.
Today was a strange-poster day. First, I saw a new poster in the train station warning people that spitting on train conductors is a crime and that if you do you will be arrested. It was nicely illustrated with a cartoon of some guy hocking a huge one at the conductor through the cabin window. I can't imagine why suddenly people have taken to spitting on train conductors, especially in Japan, but I'll do some research to see what's up.
I also saw a poster for a new TV program. You know how we've had CSi for years and years, and more recently NCIS? Sharp, snappy titles, that go straight into describing what the program is about, right? Well, Japan now has the interestingly titled--drum roll please--Metropolitan Police Department First Investigation Division Scientific Criminal Unit. I've heard the first episode is where they investigate just what it is exactly they are supposed to be investigating.
