A trip to York
Set off this morning armed with a notebook stuffed with information gleaned from the web. My head was equally stuffed with lots of unfamiliar terminology and little understanding of what most of it means! York looked good in the sunshine and the daffodils were in full bloom on the banks of the city walls and in the park. No time for that though, where are the camera shops? I had them noted in my little book with a map close by. The first shop was also the last. The man was so helpful and I know I was pointed in the right direction as I instictively felt 'right' about my choice. Decided to go for a walk to get used to the numbers and to try and think clearly before comitting. Went to Marks & Spencer but I wasn't in the mood so just poked around until Mike said I was beginning to look desperate. Needed lunch by then so found a super small Italian cafe opposite the camera shop and began to relax into my decision. The purchase was a breeze, I am a few pounds lighter but very excited. The software is loaded, now I need to familiarise myself with the camera. I won't be brave enough to Blip with it for a day or two. What did I get? I'll Blip a picture tomorrow with my trusty little Ixus!
