Bute in Spring

In my 3 weeks absence Bute Park has been transformed. The recently naked limbs of her trees are now cloaked in green, still pale and baby-fresh. Others dripping with blossom, draped like brides in the most beautiful gowns. And smatterings of windflowers speckle the sudden abundance of greenery that carpets the ground. Even the wind feels different as she tickles a thousand million new playmates, whispering to them a fresh joyful song that makes them dance and sway. And the sun smiles down at the colour and beauty his warming glow has brought and chuckles at the pale limbs so readily displayed before him at the first gentle hint of his heat.
