I love the way Inverleith Row drops down to the Water of Leith and the old mill lade at Canonmills then swoops up to the ridge of the New Town at George St.
Thank goodness it doesn't feel quite as precipitate as it looks when you're walking (quite another matter on a bike, of course).
And this is the rise the old rail track used to cut under through the Scotland St to Waverley tunnel.
