Michael Almond's Journal

Sherpa Almond

I had a meeting in the evening up at the top end of Leeds (near the Uni and Hospital). On my way back I found these two ladies who needed to get back to the train station to go to Guiseley and Bradford (both nearby by train) but were unsure of the way. I wasn't sure exactly where I was going but having endured the walk up to the Uni I figured that downhill was a good bet. They had been at the hospital visiting their friend in hospital who had been knocked down by an invalid scooter. She was shaken up but OK apparently.

Had a nice chat with them. I didn't get their names but they were keen to make sure I knew that they are 76 and 88 (left and right).

One of those random encounters that make life worthwhile.
