It's amazing what you can do with a toilet roll tube when you're bored.

A friend introduced me to the Gardens of Heligan websitewhere they have to web cams set up in owl boxes. 24hour coverage of the exciting life of birds! I'll be honest, they rarely get up to much more than sleeping, preening and scratching about, but nevertheless, i find it facinating. I've become a bit obsessed with checking up on them every few hours to see what they're up to. Beautiful animals. Makes a nice change to see them living relatively undisturbed lives in the wild instead of tethered to a post at Bird Centres or worse- tethered to a post and tormented by Saturday shoppers outside Dunfermline Asda...i kid you not.
