Dandelion Wars

Whoever decided that a dandelion was a weed that needed to be exterminated from the yard? I don't know who decided it, but my father was solidly on the anti-dandelion side. He used to pay a penny per dandelion for each one that was removed from his two acre yard (the root must be intact with the flower and leaves in order to receive the penny).

It is only April, and the dandelions have thrown the first volley. No, you can't fool me with your yellow color; you are not a daffodil.

AWAD: The stubborn dandelion has appeared in the yard, and the caretaker has plans to retaliate making the denouement certain, just not yet complete.
