11th Floor view

After my lovely drive through the Cotswolds yesterday, I was back to the normal commute into Birmingham today, nowhere near as picturesque and a lot more stressful!

Had meetings solid from 10am through to 4pm although we did stop for a team pizza half way through! This is the view from the meeting room on the 11th floor. It is like a secret floor - the lift only goes up to 9th Floor, which is the canteen. We then have to walk through to a door in the middle of the room, which leads to a staircase - up two flights of stairs to the 11th floor - but there isn't a 10th. And no, I don't understand that either.

Apparently it used to be the caretaker's flat on the 11th but no-one ever mentions the missing 10th floor, very mysterious!

Tomorrow I'm in meetings on the ground floor in a room with no windows - have no idea what I'm going to be able to blip! Not looking forward to it - starts with a meeting from 9 am till mid-day 'exploring and identifying risks' (which will be followed up with two further two hour meetings working on action plans to mitigate said risks). Then I move swiftly on to an hour long conference call to discuss various HR issues. Hopefully I will manage to a) stay awake & b) not get completely wound up at the sheer pointlessness of it - wish me luck ;o)
